Publisher's Description of the book Lao Tzu: Tao Te Ching Translation Based on His Taoism
All of the original Taoism created by Lao Tzu are found in a simple book of about five thousand Chinese characters. Confucius, like numerous Chinese, treated sayings of Lao Tzu as adages. Hardly any punctilious Chinese intellectual could successfully argue that the whole text does not deserved to be painstakingly examined. This translation and introduction of Tao Te Ching aims to be both philosophically and linguistically close to the original Tao of Taoism. The Chinese version of this translation will shortly be published by iUniverse.com as well.
High praise for this translation:

Sir Karl Popper, CH, FRS, FBA
